At first dismissed, this image
returned to vision two years later with an insistance which was
non-negotiable. The resulting carving supplied the cloven torso motif which
became a significant part of the iconography of The People of the Fire, a
memorial to the survivors of incest and childhood sexual abuse. With the
title of The Unnamable, this sculpture was shown at the 34th Juried Show at
the Parrish Art Museum, Southampton, NY.
